Less Energy for Hot Water and Water Pumping

Water heating and water pumping are among the biggest electricity loads in hotels, hospitals, residential towers and industry. Wateria Technovation cuts both with heat pumps and VFD-based pressure booster systems, backed by energy audits, installation and monitoring across India and the UAE.

Commercial air source heat pumps for hot waterHP

SOLUTION 1 · HOT WATER

Heat Pumps for Water Heating

A heat pump moves free heat from the air into water instead of making heat with an element or a burner. For every unit of electricity it uses, it delivers three to five units of heat, so hot water costs a fraction of an electric geyser or boiler. We supply Vindsol domestic, commercial, pool and thermodynamic solar heat pumps.

  • 60 – 75%Less water heating energy
  • COP 5Up to 5 kW heat per kW
  • 55 – 60 °CHot water all year
  • Replaces electric geysers and heaters
  • Reduces diesel / LPG boiler use
  • Pool heating and chilling
  • Thermodynamic solar works at night
  • Modular for large volumes
  • Wi-Fi control and diagnostics

Best for: homes, hotels, hospitals, hostels, sports clubs, pools, laundries and staff housing.

SOLUTION 2 · WATER PUMPING

VFD Pressure Booster Systems

Fixed-speed pumps run at full power whenever they are on, even when only a few taps are open. A VFD booster set slows the pumps down to match demand and holds a constant pressure. Because pump power falls with the cube of speed, a small speed reduction gives a large energy saving.

  • 30 – 50%Possible saving at part load
  • ±0.1 barTypical pressure band
  • 1 – 6Pumps per set
  • Speed matches real demand
  • No throttling or bypass losses
  • Soft start, no water hammer
  • Fewer starts, longer pump life
  • Horizontal or vertical pumps
  • PLC, BMS and IoT monitoring

Best for: high-rise buildings, hotels, hospitals, malls, industry, RO plants and district water supply.

WHERE THE SAVINGS COME FROM

Energy Saving Opportunities

Most buildings can save in more than one place. These are the upgrades we recommend most often after an energy audit.

Domestic air source heat pump01

Replace Electric Geysers

Homes, villas & apartments

A domestic heat pump connects to the existing geyser or storage tank and heats the same water with about a quarter of the electricity.

Saving: 60 – 75% • Retrofit friendly

Hot water storage tanks for heat pump systems02

Central Hot Water Plants

Hotels, hospitals, hostels, labour camps

Commercial heat pumps with large storage tanks replace electric, diesel or LPG boilers for rooms, kitchens, laundries and shower blocks.

Modular plants • Glass-lined storage

Pool Heating & Chilling

Resorts, clubs, schools, villas

Pool heat pumps heat the water in winter and chill it in summer, typically cutting pool heating costs by 70% or more compared with electric heaters.

Multi-pump variable speed booster set04

VFD Booster Retrofits

Replace fixed-speed pump sets

We replace old fixed-speed or pressure-switch boosters with VFD constant pressure sets that use only the energy the building needs at each hour.

Right-Sized Pumps & Vessels

Multi-pump cascade with pressure vessels

Several smaller pumps in cascade, plus correctly sized pressure vessels, avoid running one oversized pump and cut the number of starts at night.

Cascade control • Duty rotation

HOW THE SAVINGS WORK

Move Heat, Don't Make It.
Slow Pumps, Don't Throttle Them.

Free ambient heat + right-speed pumping = lower bills

A heat pump uses electricity only to move heat that is already in the air, so it delivers several units of heat for each unit of power. A VFD booster follows the pump affinity laws: power falls with the cube of speed, so a pump running at 80% speed needs only about half the power.

SIMPLE ENERGY MATH

What the Savings Look Like

Two illustrative examples based on basic physics. Actual savings depend on the site, the equipment being replaced, running hours and the energy tariff, which we confirm in the energy audit.

EXAMPLE 1 · HOTEL HOT WATER

10,000 litres a day, heated from 25 to 55 °C

  • Heat needed per day≈ 349 kWh
  • Electric heater (COP 1)≈ 349 kWh
  • Heat pump (COP 4)≈ 87 kWh
  • Energy saved per day≈ 262 kWh (75%)

About 95,000 kWh a year. View heat pumps →

EXAMPLE 2 · BUILDING BOOSTER PUMP

15 kW booster pump, slowed down by a VFD

  • Fixed speed, 100%15.0 kW
  • VFD at 90% speed≈ 10.9 kW
  • VFD at 80% speed≈ 7.7 kW
  • Saving at 80% speed≈ 7.3 kW (49%)

Ideal affinity-law values; real savings are lower because of static head and drive losses. View booster systems →
